The true nature of communism used to be fairly well understood in America. But now the mass media, politicians, and the educational system conceal the ugly truth from the people. The old expression, “those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it,” is all too true. Our media and educational system have deliberately dumbed down the masses and the average American has no knowledge of history. So they are completely ignorant of the game plan used by a Russian Communist revolutionary, Lenin, starting in 1917, which led to the murder of over 66 million people in Communist prison camps, made possible by Lenin’s strategy quoted above. Notice that at the very center of the Communist strategy is the passing of laws to take away the guns of the middle class through licensing and registration. Notice also how the Communists perfectly understand the power of gun ownership because one person with one gun can control one hundred people. Remaining Free....The shackles placed on we the people, are becoming more numerous with each passing year. There are so many so called conservatives who are hypocrites, which means they are either full blown liberal as in Government must have all power or are liberal lite types that try to fool everyone, such as Bill Kristol, Karl Rove, numerous media types, and politicians ad  infinitum.    There are many more in the shadows so we the people, have a difficult task, since these men and women have had a 50 to 80 year head start.  These people will do everything including lie, cheat, steal, to keep our country on the path to the socialist utopia....which really is one of the greatest lies on the planet.

Will be ever get out of the UN?  Will we ever get the government back on the path it was intended for as in the Constitution?  Will we ever get rid of the New World Order crowd that favors abolition of the US borders; free traders who give away our jobs and infiltration of our country with people who have never lived free?  Will ever get rid of the cancer that is ruining the moral fiber?

We are so grateful at IOTC for the wonderful, providential year it has been. In light of this amazing holiday, I would like to give thanks for the opportunity to share the American View with others across this great country. I am especially encouraged by our American Club youth initiatives. Rush Limbaugh’s “Rush Revere Newsletter” recently recognized the efforts of one of our American Club chapters in North Carolina! In order to reinvigorate American youth, Rush featured this group that drew their favorite scene from “Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims.”

Statistically speaking, American Millennials’ (ages 18-34) worst subject is history. Many know very little about our European ancestors, the Pilgrims, to whom the first Thanksgiving is attributed. These were the first Christian families to settle on the east coast of America. Contrary to modern-day teaching, the main purpose the Pilgrims came to America was NOT religious freedom. They had already gained religious freedom twelve years earlier, in 1608, when they fled England for Holland to escape the extreme persecution from a tyrannical King James I. They told us specifically why they decided to come to America in the Mayflower Compact – the first American government document: “…for the glory of God and advancement of the Christian faith…”

The Pilgrims came to America to set up an entire nation for the purpose of glorifying God and advancing the Christian faith. This radical statement UNITED government with a responsibility to God and left a strategy for future generations to follow that has arguably brought about more liberty, prosperity, and joy to our nation than any other political philosophy in any other country in the history of the world!

The first national Thanksgiving occurred in 1789. According to the Congressional Record for September 25, immediately after approving the Bill of Rights, Mr. Elias Boudinot said he could not think of letting the congressional session end without offering an opportunity to all the citizens of America to render their sincere thanks to Almighty God for the many blessings He had poured down upon them.

The resolution was delivered to President George Washington who heartily concurred with the congressional request, declaring:

“Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor. . . . Now, therefore, I do appoint Thursday, the 26th day of November 1789 . . . that we may all unite to render unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection.”

As prophesied, Israel became a modern-day nation in one day.

MINI BIBLE STUDY FOR THE DAY

The likelihood of a people being defeated, scattered over the earth and regathering some 2000 years later in their homeland as a pure race was so preposterous that many Bible scholars through the years scoffed at the idea. Yet the dry bones analogy in Ezekiel 37 was there for all to read for 2500 years. And on May 14, 1948, the United Nations granted Israel full nation status.
The Bible says it was God who brought them back to their homeland.

. . . I will bring you into the land of Israel. —Ezekiel 37:12 . . . I will place you on your own land. —Ezekiel 37:14

God made promises to Israel that are yet to be fulfilled. For instance:

. . . I will give (the land of Israel) to you and to your descendants forever. —Genesis 13:15

Best of all, God promises a blessing to those who bless Israel.

And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. —Genesis 12:3

There is no doubt that God's blessing on America is due, at least in part, to our backing and protection of Israel. Woe to us if we ever leave Israel high and dry!

QUESTION FOR THE DAY

Dear Compass:
Will Believers be able to watch the Antichrist’s rise to power prior to Rapture? I am watching (a man) on TV and he seems like he could fit the bill.

ANSWER:

The Antichrist will not be revealed until after the removal of the Holy Spirit from the earth (Rapture). So Believers will not know, for sure, who he will be. If you do see a great world leader confirm a seven-year peace treaty with Israel, you have bigger problems . . . you missed the Rapture!

And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he may be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way (Rapture). —2 Thessalonians 2:6-7

So it is unlikely that Believers can tell with any certainty who might be the world leader who eventually becomes the false Christ/Antichrist. But we do know his characteristics.
The Bible says the Antichrist:

• Will be a deceiver full of intrigue who comes out of nowhere (Daniel 11:21, 23).
  
• Will be a big talker and has a mouth uttering great boasts (Daniel 7:8, Revelation 13:5).
  
• Will rise from obscurity and exalt himself (2 Thessalonians 2:4, Daniel 7:8).
  
• Will be worshiped by many (Revelation 13:4, 8).
  
• Comes in as a man of peace (Daniel 9:27).
  
• Will be a great military leader (Revelation 13:4, Daniel 11:39).
  
• Will show no regard for the religion of his ancestors (Daniel 11:37).
  
• Finally, the Antichrist is a homosexual, or at least asexual (Daniel 11:37).

There are many more biblical characteristics this man will fulfill in the tribulation. But remember, we are not to look for a man ("Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or 'There He is,' do not believe him. —Matthew 24:23) but to keep our eyes looking up for Jesus' return ("They also said, 'Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.'" —Acts 1:11). Additional resource for this GML:

Seeking once again to take advantage of an opportunity, anti-gun Democrats are using the horrific massacre in Paris to revive a moribund bill by Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) to remove precious rights from anyone on the government’s “no-fly” or “terrorist watch list.”

Senate Bill 551, offered back in February, was dead on arrival, but the Paris massacre is being seen as an opportunity to breathe life back into it. In re-introducing the bill, she says if they can’t fly, they shouldn’t be able to buy a gun: “If you’re too dangerous to board a plane, you’re too dangerous to own a gun.”

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) called it a “terrorist loophole”:

By leaving this terrorist loophole open, Republicans are leaving every community in America vulnerable to attacks by terrorists armed with assault rifles and explosives purchased legally, in broad daylight.

What, exactly, is that loophole? It is the whole host of protections provided by the Constitution, and more specifically the Second, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments to it, that guarantee that rights may not be infringed without probable cause and without due process. That’s the “loophole” that Reid and Feinstein want to close. Merely being on the list does not automatically disqualify an individual from buying a gun. It takes much more than that, a fact that Reid, Feinstein, and others seem willing to ignore.

Those others would include Senator Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) who said:

Under current law, suspected or known terrorists who are on a no-fly list can legally purchase firearms in this country. They can walk into a gun show, no questions asked, and buy a gun or buy explosives.

His excessive hyperbole notwithstanding, Schumer then blames the National Rifle Association (NRA) for standing athwart the effort:

Because of the NRA it hasn’t happened, but because of Paris we’re hoping there will be new impetus to do this and do it now.

Slamming this appalling loophole ought to be a no-brainer.

Looking carefully at the language of the bill one can see exactly how precious rights would be abrogated, potentially leading to the disarmament of anyone “suspected” of terrorist activities. First, the bill would empower the attorney general “to deny the transfer of firearms … to known or suspected dangerous terrorists.” (Emphasis added.) The bill expands the definition of suspected:

The Attorney General may deny the transfer of a firearm … if [he] … determines that the transferee is known (or appropriately suspected) to be or have been engaged in conduct constituting, in preparation for, in aid of, or related to terrorism, or providing material support of resources for terrorism; and has a reasonable belief that the prospective transferee may use a firearm in connection with terrorism.

This is such a far cry from constitutional protections that it’s no wonder that the NRA has cried foul ever since Feinstein’s bill was first introduced years ago by then-Senator Frank Lautenberg, the infamous anti-gun Democrat from New Jersey.

Such a far cry that Charles Cooke, a staff writer at National Review, took umbrage at the outrage of Feinstein’s bill:

This idea flies directly in the face of every cherished American conception of justice, and it should be rejected with extreme prejudice.

You will note, I hope, that Reid [and] Schumer … are not proposing to place restrictions on those who are “accused,” “charged,” or “convicted,” but upon those who are “suspected”….

Loudly and proudly, they are arguing in favor of removing fundamental rights from anyone whose name has been written down on a list.

Already rights are being violated. At present nearly one million names are on the no-fly watch list, but 280,000 of those names “have no recognized terrorist affiliation” as noted by TechDirt. One of those on the list was Weekly Standard writer and Fox News contributor Stephen Hayes who learned that fact to his dismay while leaving for a cruise. Someone had added his name to the list and, under Feinstein’s bill, he would be forever prohibited from owning a firearm. No charges filed, no hearing, no trial, nothing.

Sean Davis, the co-founder of The Federalist, made it personal:
